I'd rather waste my liver on bum wine and pamprin than overpriced microbrews...

Our first happy hour investigation was kind of a clusterfuck. We wanted to start off at Cooper's Alehouse but I had no ID. So we decided to go to Bai Pai Thai on 65th. Of course they don't have happy hour on fridays so we went to the only place in Roosevelt that does; Casa Patron. Since we were waiting on a couple of people and it was already 5:30 we went next door to The Scarlet Tree because their HH doesn't end til 7. Well thank god we did, it was stupendous.

According to my scribbled napkin notes I guess the place is pretty clearly a sports bar. But let's be honest I only watch games for the food, the booze, and the company. I just wanted to make that clear. Although it looked like a lounge straight out of an Usher video. Allegedly Husky Headquarters but completely red inside...hmmm. The candlelight made a nice atmosphere and Bill Withers was bumping on the stereo. Apparently there is live music on the regular.

We ordered the Parmesan & truffle oil frites (read: french fries), the sweet potato fries with aioli, the Mediterranean sampler, and the best macaroni I've ever had. But take note the drink specials were not that great. $4 microbrews and $3 PBR PER GLASS!! We can do better Seattle.

The breakdown $31/3 people. & they let you take boxes home with leftovers which I guess is uncommon....so BONUS
